Scott Smed Room
Dedication
With the loss
of our son, Scott in 2001, we were driven to help future
parents in our situation to have continuous support,
comforting surroundings and a more positive experience in
coping with their loss. In the past eight years, the
tournament has raised $430,000, built two
Scott Smed family rooms residing at the
Rockyview General Hospital and
Foothills Hospital,
with two additional rooms to be built as part of the
renovations to the Peter Lougheed hospital.
All parents and family members residing in the Scott Smed rooms while experiencing pregnancy and infant loss receive a wonderful memory gift box filled with beautiful belongings to help their child's memory live on in their lives forever.
